It was a normal charter flight to Hurgada.
I flew to work, the mood was good.
My neighbour asked me to change places with her.
She wanted to seat next to the window very much.
I did not care.
So I took her seat.
Everything was going smoothly.
Passengers were out of their seats.
I was going to have a nap when my neighbour asked me to look at the window.
I saw frequent outbreaks of light.
They appeared one by one.
And it seemed they passed very close to our plane.
I have never seen this before.
But it didn’t look like lightning.
My neighbour panicked, the panic passed on me.
We both began to think that we flew over the rocket attacks area.
We called the flight attendant for explanations.
Flight attendant looked at the window and calmly said that it was a thunderstorm.
With a smile on her face she advised us to close the window.
We followed her advice, but my neighbour opened the window every five minutes.
It made me nervous.
Finally flash ended.
It’s strange but no one else paid attention to the window flash.
A few days later, I heard on the news that civil aviation was banned from flying over the area of rocket attacks… And I still ask myself: «Whether it was a thunderstorm?»
