Today, I want to introduce something interesting about Allen Poe for you.

Poe was a Amarican writer and.

He was famous for his short story and poetry.

But you might not imagine that he is also good at cryptography.

He once writed a short story named The Gold Bug in which involve kownledge of the cryptography. what the story describe is how the hero Mr. William Legrand searched a treasure by useing cryptography.

The hreo in this story happen to find a parchment when he had catched a gold beetle.

There are a few strange characters on the parchment(Please look here) .

Maybe you would say this is too complex to decypher.

But the solution is by no means so difficult as you be led to imagine from the first hasty inspection of the characters.
