My english exam !
It lasts all day, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The origins of Carnival are Afro-Caribbean to celebrate the abolition of slavery.
So the music is exotic and the food is traditional Caribbean food.
Before, the police tried to ban the festival because they had a negative view.
But now, this carnival is proof of the successful integration of black immigrants in England.
The parade went around the neighborhood, about five kilometers, and is closed to traffic for two days.
Two metro stations are closed.
The parade passes a jury notes the groups and makes a ranking.
