  • Motivation at work

  • Hello, everybody.
  • Today I’m going to talk about how to increase motivation at work.
  • My presentation is divided into three parts.
  • Firstly, I’ll give an overview of a motivation.
  • Then I’m going to talk about four position motivated to achieve success.
  • Finally, I’ll give examples of possible disadvantages of motivation in the work.
  • So let’s get started.
  • Workers today are motivated by many different intentions.
  • Motivation has conventionally been assumed to be an individual phenomenon.
  • Each individual is unique and he has different needs, potential, values, strengthening history, attitudes and goals.
  • We will look at what motivates most people.
  • Now I’d like to move on to the next point and to speak about the first position of motivation.
  • It’s important to find work you love.
  • What do you love?
  • And can you turn it into your job?
  • If you like it, then do it.
  • Bill Gates had no idea that his passion would lead to billions, but he loved it for its own sake.
  • The second position is salary.
  • Money is a great motivator.
  • Remind yourself of the money you are getting for the work you are doing, and think about all the things that you want to do with the money.
  • The next slide concerns the third position.
  • Set attainable goals for yourself and check them off regularly as you go.
  • Your goals might include improved performance in the office or a change in your personal life that moves you closer to a happier you.
  • Update your skills.
  • Fifth position is about communication with colleagues.
  • You must be a good communicator, who can gain confidence of others.
  • So you will be able to find help from others.
  • The people who work at a particular company often are the make-or-break factor in whether your job is tolerable, or even rewarding.
  • When you’re stuck among unpleasant colleagues, it’s difficult to get sufficiently motivated to do anything productive.
  • In the last slide I’d like to draw your attention on the image of the Disadvantages of motivation.
  • There are no real disadvantages of successfully motivating employees, but there are many barriers to be overcome.
  • You can select the following: affect in the wrong way, ineffective after a long period of time, motivation is lost once the reward is removed, Slow to change the behavior.
  • In conclusion, I’d like to say that the heart of motivation is to give people what they really want most from work.
  • And remember: “We can’t become what we need to be by remaining what we are.” – Oprah.
