"Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" is the latest film of the Harry Potter universe to arrive to the cinemas, but the first of five projected parts which compose a spinf-off based on the saga of the most popular wizard of the literature.

The film, which inmerses us in the wizardry world created by J.K.

Rowling, who has participated as a scriptwritwer, is set in New York in 1926.

Newt Scamander, a magician zoologist, arrives in New York to pursue his work promoting the care of magical beast, but all his plans cut short when he lose his suitcase full of magical and dangerous creatures.

Eddie Redmayne makes a very competent performance as a shy and eccentric Newt Scamander, but doubtlessly the character that will be the delight of all the spectators is Jacob, interpretated by Dan Fogler in the role of a no-maj (person without magical powers) who accompanies Newt in his capture of the magical creatures.

The strongest point of the film is it setting.

Appart of the special effects, the producters of the film have made a great effort building enourmous and meticulous sets inside the studios to recreate the streets of the 1920s New York City.

The smallest detail has been taken into account: the cars, the wardrobe, etc. Although the fans of Harry Potter will miss the atmosphere of Hogwarts, they won’t feel disappointed with the new adventures of Newt, in which action, comedy and fantasy are guaranteed.
