The editorial argument problematic in several respects.

In order to determine if the editorial's letter is reasonable , it is important to first know the motivating reason why the number of shoppers in Central Plaza have declined.

Simply because Skateboarding has increased, does not mean that that is why people didn’t go there, and it is not reason enough that once skateboarders are taken away , the visitors will no longer at same attitude , thereby further reduce the number of shoppers .

Perhaps, the number of visitors declined because new shopping center or mall has opened in the city and is stealing former central plaza visitors.

If this is the case ,taking away the skateboarders will not affect customer attendance anymore.

In fact , the letter will be hurt business in that area and leads to more visitors decline ,especially if central plaza new competitor continue to attract new shoppers and find a better way to increase the number of visitors .Perhaps , a new mall can open the new area for skateboarding for children and families , as they continue to steal and increase in the number of visitors there .thus, without shadow of doubt ,it is clear that the link between editorial's recommendation and evidence is questionable .

In addition to this, The argument could be strengthened if the editorial provided information about the date of starting skateboarding in that area and when the central plaza became a quit place.

Perhaps skateboarding has increased in the central plaza because plaza has changed into the desolate area .It is very common that skateboarders use quit place these days . perhaps , these two events didn’t start at the same time .Consider ,even this is false and skateboarders started to play skateboarding there when the central plaza was very popular among the shoppers .Even if this is the case ,this does not mean that the central plaza can't increase the number of visitors .the Central place can establish some rules in order to clean up garbages and allocate an area nearby plaza in order to use for skateboarding and restore their image by advertising in the mass media .Thus, it is not clear that there is a relation between the dramatic increase in the number shoppers and the popularity of skateboarding in Central Plaza.
