  • Today, I will write about an artistic performance.
  • The performance is a new artistic way of expression.
  • It consists in the action of an artist, which is only made once.
  • Nevertheless, the performance can be filmed or photographed and then the film or the photography can be sold, as could be sold a painting.
  • Sometimes it is easy to understand what an artist means by a performance, and sometimes it can be very difficult.
  • Last June, I took part in the organization of a very complex performance created by a Russian and French artist.
  • For the performance, I had to manage the participation of forty-eight people.
  • They had to leave by groups of two people from twenty-four doors of the city of Paris.
  • They walked with an emergency light and a turnt on siren.
  • They came together in the center of Paris, Les Halles.
  • This police emergency lights were a metaphor of the democratic rights and of the political powers which, during the performance, came back in the hands of a citizen.
  • This performance had to be understood in the contemporary context, because it referred to the big demonstrations of the last summer and the attacks in Paris.
