The American dream is the idea that any person living in the United States, through his work, courage and determination, can become prosperous and be able to support himself and his family.It is widely regarded as a myth but it is nevertheless one of the main engines that allows populations to migrate to the United States.

The American dream is also a symbol of success for this nation.

Barack Obama is proof of this.

And as more and more Mexican emigrate to the US and start looking for work to accede to the American dream.

Indeed this common dream has all led more than 70 million people to try their luck since the 19th century.
