Russia, which became the legal successor of the USSR, although it lost much of its geopolitical influence, and remains one of the leading players on the world stage, one of the few countries in the world, ready to openly challenge the US.

Against the background of strained relations with the West in 2014, to strengthen cooperation with China, both economic and security plays an important role in strengthening of geopolitical influence in the modern world, the transition from a unipolar world led by the US, to a multipolar.

China is also interested in a multipolar world model that brings together the interests of the two countries.

The article analyzes the trends of cooperation of the Chinese People's Republic and the Russian Federation in the sphere of military security in the context of military-technical cooperation, military training and supply of arms and equipment.
