Good morning.
It is great that so many of you were able to make it this morning.
I'd like to tell you today about pension.
I’ve divided my presentation into three parts.
First, I will start by giving you a little information about what is the pension.
Second, I will then go on to compare old-age pensions in the UK and Russia.
Finally, you will be able to see the biggest pension in some countries of the world.
I’d be glad to answer any questions at the end of my talk.
My presentation will last for about five minutes.
To start with, then, I’d like to consider that a pension is regular cash benefit which paid to persons who have reached retirement age (old-age pension), have a disability or have lost a breadwinner.
Let me now move on to the second part of my presentation.
Today, retirement can mean different things.
In the UK old-age pension system is three-tiered.
It consists of a basic state pension, pensions from the state superannuation and private individual pensions.
The first level is pensions, which are guaranteed and paid by the state.
All Britons receive this type of pension on achieving retirement age.
The size of this pension does not depend on achievements, seniority and salary earned.
The second type of pension more than the basic state pension and depends on length of service and salary.
Non-state pension provision allows them to independently determine their own monthly contributions to the Pension Fund and increase their pension.
Retirement age in UK is 65 for men and 60 for women. The pension is around 155 pounds.
In Russia there are 2 types of pensions: labor pensions and pensions for state pensions.
Labour pension is formed by insurance contributions which the employee made before.
Pensions for state pensions are paid from the Federal budget.
The amount of the pension is about 11 000 rubles in Russia.Typically, retirees receive insurance old-age pension in Russia. The size of this pension depend on achievements, seniority and salary earned.
Now you can see the size of pensions in some countries of the world.
That covers all I wanted to say today.
Thank you for your attention.
