A first positive consequence of television's introduction is the diffusion of news and informations in a faster way all over the country and the world.

For instance, when the terroristic attack to the twin towers happened, all families were sitting in front of television watching what was happening.

People felt as if they were there, actually they were in the opposite part of the world.

A second positive consequence of television's introduction is the possibility for everybody to discover new things and improve knowledges, thanks to some interesting TV programmes.

As a matter of fact, a recent survey on the BBC online showed that documentaries and science braodcasts were the most watched programmes during the last few years.

However, television has had negative effects on our daily life,too.

For instance, it has reduced the social relationships.

It is clear that now everyone spends most of his freetime watching every kind of TV programme, instead of knowing his heighbours or going out with friends.

Another negative consequence of television's introduction concerns children.

Inded, they have changed their daily routine, because they spend quite all the afternoon sitting in front of television and watching cartoons, while doing homeworks or playing with friends.

As a result, these days children have more social and health problems than in the past.

To conclude, television has made our life more interesting, but the way we live depends on the good use we make of it.
