Regarding business operations, as the aim of our society is to keep our organization running smoothly and our guests satisfied, I will talk about the prices we have to change regularly and the embellishment of the hotel.
These two aspects are part of the strategies of the hotel, therefore it will be linked with the five competitive objectives which are quality, speed, dependability, flexibility, cost.
Quality: (being right) prices have to be reasonable, not too high regarding the concurrence but not too low in order to be sure that we will make profits.
They also have to be reasonable regarding the quality, the level of the rooms and services offered.
Speed: (being fast) prices have to be changed every time.
We have to be ready, to check all the events that take place in Nice so that we know when we have to change our prices.
Otherwise, people could have the time to reserve a room at a lower price.
Then, the decoration of the hotel has to change quickly.
For instance, once Carnival was ended, the decoration had to be taken out the same day during the night.
Exceptionally I will not talk about dependability because I have nothing to say on it regarding the fact that we change prices or decorate the hotel.
Flexibility: (being able to change) Everything is done on the internet.
We have a direct access to the tour operators’ websites, so that we are able to change prices simply.
Thanks to the staff, we are also able to change the decorations every time.
Cost: (being productive) And to finish, when designing the hotel, we have to take the prices of the decorations into account, so that we do not spend too much.
And we also choose our prices regarding some criteria, in order to be productive and not lose all the possible clients.
