American Mission: talking Putin into ditching Assad.

New sanctions for Russia.

This morning, Rex Tillerson, head of American diplomatics, checked world’s support for the Trump’s task in Syria.

He did not just talk with his colleagues, the ministers of G7, but also with the representatives of Jordan, Qatar and Turkey.

The European allies immediately approved the bombing raid occurred on April the 7th against the Syrian operations base, hitting back at the chemical attack carried out by Assad’s regime on April the 4th in Idlib province.

The Gulf countries did not condemn it.

After midday, the French foreign minister, Mr. Jean-Marc Ayrault, denied the rumour kicking around over the past hours, that is to say, “G7 didn’t reach an agreement on new sanctions for Russia and Syria”, Reuters Said Great Britain and Canada are for worsening the sanctions against Russia if they continue supporting Assad.

France expressed their firm opposition.

The line of action seems to have been decided yet though.

At the end of the summit among the foreign ministers of G7, Tillerson said “we have all clear that Assad’s reign is coming to an end.

He added that Russia must choose which country to follow.

On one hand, there are the US and the countries with the same line of though, and on the other Assad’s regime, Iran and the Hezbollah.

Under these circumstances, Tillerson arrived in Russia in the afternoon.

The first visit as a Secretary of State for the for former head of ExxonMobil, who seemed to be a man of pacification between Washington and Moscow, will stick to the protocol.

Tomorrow, he will be meeting with foreign minister, Serghei Lavrov, his Russian counterpart.

They will not be talking about Putin, his ‘chum’, since the oil magnate had received an honour decoration in 2013.
