“The armed conflict in Donbass isn’t on hold.
A full-scale war is under way in the Donbass region,” said Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine, in an interview with Sky News.
“I want to highlight the fact that the conflict isn’t on hold, as opposed to what many people are trying to say.
Could it be on hold?
It’s a full-scale war that is raging on there,” said Poroshenko.
As of today, Ukraine’s military forces have suffered numerous casualties in Donbass this year, with 69 killed and more than 420 wounded, said Poroshenko.
Earlier today, Vadim Novinsky, an opposition party member of Ukraine’s parliament, called on Poroshenko to follow through on his campaign pledge to put the war in Donbass to an end.
