Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing to you regarding living standards in our city which we have the right to have as citizens.
First of all, I believe that living standards include factors such as poverty rate, quality of housing, a proper education, life expectancy, health care, infrastructures, safety, means of transport…etc.
Apart from that, I firmly believe that we do not forget leisure.
In this day and age, the more time you have, the richer you are.
I would like the opportunity to suggest two measures to increase spare-time.
If I were you, I would promote continuous day work rather than split day jobs.
As a result, people have more free time in order to spend time with their families, relatives, friends and hobbies.
On the other hand, it is advisable to foster parklands where people could spend time in a suitable environment.
People who live in a city need to do activities in parklands due to their stressful jobs, daily chores...
It is well-known that these sorts of activities have good psychological effects and level of happiness increases.
I am sure that many citizens support my ideas.
I would like to thank you for your attention.
Yours, sincerely
