  • Proficiency Test Training:

  • It's at a corner of a little street of Murcia that you will find a cute little restaurant called "La Tapadera".
  • The place is rather small so I recommend booking a table or sitting outside where a few tables have been placed.
  • Inside, the room is pleasant and well decorated but the barstools and the lack of space are a bit off-putting.
  • The first time I saw this restaurant, I thought it was the usual place where you can spend a good time with your friends, eating the typical mini-dishes that Spanish people call "tapas": fried squids, tortillas, slices of bread garnished with various types pf toppings etc...But this restaurant is not like the others.
  • The chef is incredibly creative and come up with outstanding ideas to renew the famous tapas.
  • Personally, I enjoy very much the concept of mini-dishes that allows to nibble at different kind of tasty and colorful creations.
  • At this stage, we can talk about "art" rather than "food" or "cookery".
  • Artichoke minutely cut to shelter a savory avocado cream, aubergine slices layered with goat cheese, raw tuna carpaccio inspired by the Japanese cooking...The menu is a delight for the eyes and for the palate.
  • My favorite is a bar made of pork and rolled in popcorn powder that gives a crusty touch with a melting heart.
  • Needless to say that I enjoyed every bit with relish.
  • And for those who have a sweet tooth, the desserts are equally surprising and outstandingly savory.
  • Finally, about the price, it will all depend on the quantity of tapas you wish to order.
  • They cost from 2€ to 5€ each and you can take an average of 5 tapas overall.
  • From my point of view, the price is reasonable.
  • The quality and freshness is undeniable and of course, everything is home-made so for me, it's definitely a place that is worth a visit and I recommend it to locals as well as tourists who pass by our beautiful city.
