The journalist wants to show how this city has changed during the last few years.

Clearly, famous for being the capital of mafia and crime, now Palermo has been declared Italian Culture capital in 2018.

The city that in 1990s was controlled by the army, after the death of Falcone and Borsellino, is now living a flourishing period.

This was possible thanks to Palermo's citizens, that have fought constantly against mafia, and thanks to its major, that has had a crucial role in the development of the city, according to the journalist.

Recently many historic buildings have been restaurated, others have been repurposed and even if mafia still has influence in Sicily, his future will fairly be in decline.
