  • The recent recession is a negative event that has affected our society since 2007 and it seems that has not ended yet.
  • Just making a simple calculation it can be realized that crisis has lasted for about ten years.
  • Since it lats and continues so long, it is likely that it has been felt and lived by the population conspicuously.
  • According to recent surveys, the social fields that have fairly suffered the mostare work, health, family, lifestyle and leisure activities.
  • To begin with work, it is commonly believed to be the most suffering aspect of our life.
  • As recent events show, many jobs have reduced in order to cut labour costs and taxes.

  • As a result, many industries and famous brands have decided to move abroad or to replace human force by automatic machines.

  • This means that young generations face difficulties to find their occupation.
  • However, the reduction of job places has created a sort of natural selection, leaving just qualified, active and competitive people in the job market.

  • It has been registered a considerable increase in cardiovascular problems, anxiety and depression due to the lacking of jobs.
  • According to The New York Times (2016) "people who have no job prospects are more likely to be depressed, become addicted to drugs and alcohol and have other mental health problems".
  • As a consequence, the majority of them decide to take painkillers, that are the wrong solution for their problem.
  • What concerns family, the most negative consequence of recession has been the reduction of their economical power.
  • Many families face daily the difficulty of buying food and clothes, of making their children study, of managing the family.
  • As previously said, even in this field young generations face much frustration, because they can not easily get married and create a family.
  • Leisure activities is probably the aspect that has felt a drastic diminution.
  • Playing sports, eating outside, going to the cinema, having a holiday have become quite a dream for many families, that are forced to have a simpler lifestyle.
  • To conclude, the recession has caused many consequences in every aspect of society.
  • The majority of them are negative and in certain cases are also dangerous for people.
  • It would be acceptable that policy and governement took positive decisions to help population, instead of just thinking about their own businesses.
