Korigjime

The program of this gallery, representing artists working on a range of current media, makes it in my opinion, one of the most relevant art contemporary galleries.

This is also due to a choice you make to present a selection of works of which the aesthetic is based on technical, philosophical, social or political arguments, to name just a few.

I also consider that the experimental interest of the gallery, as well as its involvement into art fairs and events, allows to maintain connections with contemporary international apt artists.

To illustrate my thoughts, in your current exhibition, are combined a complex reflexion brought by the simplicity of Massinissa Selmani's drawings and the deep forms of Albrecht Schnider's paintings.

In this exhibition that I had the pleasure to visit, both artists make strong and deep art while working in different artistic categories.

Massinissa Selmani is binding aesthetic and political reflexions, using a diversity of artistic media, either animations or tracing paper, which illustrate his creativity.

He seems to constantly test himself and, despite of the simplicity of his drawings, this leads his work to a complexity located somewhere between his irony and his socio-political social engagement.

Albrecht Schnider also makes us meditate but this time, the strength of the forms in his geometrical abstracts paintings or portraits, gives us the freedom to decide what would be the subject of our meditation.
