The bar chart illustates and compares the main challenges that people aged 18-34, 35-54 and over 55 face when they move abroad.

Taking into consideration three different challenges, the youngest group (18-34) seems to consider Learning the local language only 29% of their challenges, whereas Finding somewhere to live and Making friends are considered the hardiest challenges (40% and 46% of the overall challenges respectively).

On the contrary, it is evident that as people gradually increase in age, they find the search of a place to live and making friends less and less important in terms of challenges.

For individuals aged 35-54, for instance, finding an accomodation is only 39% of their obstacles, and for people over 55 it represent even 22%.

Making friends, instead, depicts 36% of the 35-54 group and 23% of over 55 people.

The most difficult challenge for these two groups is Learning the local language, which performes 35% of people aged 35-54 challenges and even 54% of people 55.

Overall, the bar chart shows differences in challenges faced by people of different ages, demonstrating that while for old people Learning the local language is the most difficult obstacle, for youngsters it is Making friends and finding a place to live.
