It will be raised from 5% to 8% by 2014.
I focused on sales tax here.
Sales taxes in British Columbia consist of two taxes, Provincial Sales Tax (PST) and federal Goods and Services Tax (GST).
PST is 7% and GST is 5% , totaling 12% we have to pay.
However, unprocessed food and some categories are exemption.
