Dear Pr de Jong-van den Berg
My name is Johann C.
I’m a pharmacist graduated in Colombia and I’m finishing my master’s degree in Public Health at Pierre et Marie Curie University in Paris, France.
I’m interested in pursuing a PhD in Public Health in autumn next year and I would really like to do it in cotutelle between France and the Netherlands (Groningen University) to get the valuable opportunity to learn from your experience.
My French these codirector (head of the Paris pharmacoepidemiology center) and I, are planning to submit a project to the national medicines regulatory agency in France (ANSM) to get a source of funding.
The main subject would be the safety monitoring of the off-label use of drugs but we are working in finding a more specific topic that must be defined really soon.
Thus, as I know you have a great expertise in pharmacoepidemiology, I’m politely asking you if you would be interested in being my these codirector in Groningen University.
I think this would be an amazing opportunity to create research links between these countries and to mutually learn from our experiences.
If so, I’ll be honored if you could take part of the project elaboration.
Yours sincerely,
Johann Castaneda
