I am going to discuss the following topic : the link between the growth of developing countries and environmentally friendly economic policy.
Is is compatible ?
To start with, I think that developing countries should respect the environment, even though it might contradict their growth.
The protection of environnemental is essential since some dammages cannot be repared.
For instance, deforestation in Brazil seems to have created huge dammages to the environment.
The nature all around us, especially in developing countries, remains very fragile.
Nevertheless, I have to admit that economic growth is a priority for the poorest countries.
Therefore, in some circumstances, developing countries could be allowed to pollute a little bit more than the richest countries.
In other words, I do not believe that every country must be submitted to the same rules.
While India or african countries need to develop their economy to survive, Europe and the U.S certainly have the means to focus on environmentally-friendly policies.
To conclude, there is obviously a strong link between economic growth and environment.
Thanks to the science, it is now possible to implement economic models which develop economy as well as it preserves the environment. THANK YOU !
