If someone has no motivation in his profession, it is hard for him to get outstanding achievements at the position.

In contrast, if someone considers his work is worthy, he will devote himself to realizing the value.

I used to think that teaching was stable, without too many challenges.

But after plenty of extracurricular reading, teacher’s qualification training and participating in practical teaching, I do believe that teaching is one of the most creative jobs, because the main objective is teaching children who are unique and change from day to day.

What’s more important, I established faith that education is which I am eager to devote myself to, not only because i can fulfill my value and get satisfaction but also it is the job has profound influence to individuals and society.

I have thought deeply and realised that a teacher is not only what I want to be but I am also suitable to be.

From years of studying, I noticed having a clear logic, study transfer ability and self-reflection are my features of learning and problems solving, which are vital to be an excellent teacher.

In addition, I have a great fondness of all of the nature things, such as oceans and forests, so I really love to spend time with children who are, as far as I am concerned, the purest things in the world.

When I worked as a practice teacher in Junjing Dongqu Kindergarten, I found helping all children to make progress is my greatest happiness.

During my internship period, I made some toys for the children, for I appreciated the theory ‘Learning by Playing’ which is raised by John Dewey.

I made a big box containing paper-made tiger, rabbit and other animals whose mouths were open.

Meanwhile, I prepared some notes with names and drawings of different foods so that children may feed the paper-made animals accordingly.

It is practicable for children to acquire basic knowledge and they may get more information about animals and foods after the game.

To be a qualified teacher, I have to promote myself with both language learning and teaching skills.

Every day when I finished my work in kindergarten, I would take part in oral English course in training institute.

In my spare time, I will read some books about teaching and apply the theory from books into my actual situation in kindergarten.

Learning language and teaching skills are never a burden but an enjoyment for me because it is my dream to become a respectable teacher in my future.

To fulfill my dream, your esteemed university is a paradise for me to further my study because The Hong Kong Institute of Education is the unique teaching university in Hong Kong and the Early Childhood Education Program is perfect fit for my career development.

Besides, I have a keen interest in Home-School-Community Partnerships in Diverse Society module because the importance of community is easily ignored.

Making good use of the resources at home, school and community may benefit for the children.

In addition, Nurturing Social-Emotional Well-being of Children module poses a significant topic in my mind covering how we can improve children’s sense of well-being through education.

Studying above modules comprehensively, I have a keen desire to study in your university.

After graduation, I am planning to get into the field of education as a preschool teacher who is professional and responsible, to make more contribution to the education system in China.

Overall, I will be really appreciative if there is an opportunity to study in The Hong Kong Institute of Education.

If successful, I will dedicate myself to the program and make every single effort to enhance my teaching skills and honor the university.
