Angels and demons
‘…the human mind is very surprising and can do terrible things to achieve those most secret and perverse instincts, which are guided by ambitions and power…’
One morning, Robert Langdon who was a professor of religions iconology at Harvard University received a call and a fax from Kohler Maximilian, who was the head of the CRN. In the fax there appears the picture of a man, who had engraved on his chest a seal of the ancient religious sect anti-christian missing, the illuminati. Langdon took a plane to the headquarters of CRN. There he discovered along with Kohler and an important scientist’s daughter, who had recently died, that someone had stolen ‘antimatter’ (an important and dangerous substance). Through the thief, they discovered that antimatter is in any city of the Vatican. So, Robert and the scientist’s daughter, who was Victoria Vetra travelled to the Vatican. There, they discovered that a murderer had kidnapped four cardinals, whose would be in the conclave which was to be held a few hours later because the pope had recently died. The murderer called a television reporter to broadcast live the first execution of the four cardinals that would be held in one of the altars of science. Langdon's research led him to the Pantheon in Rome, but after watching a while, he realized that this was not the right place. They went to a church but it was too late. The cardinal was buried to the waist in one of the underground galleries of the church, and was drowned by putting sand in this mouth. On his chest it was engraved another ambirgram fire that represented the earth. So, the murderer continued with their crimes, killing the remaining three cardinals, but he killed them leaving different tracks to Langdon, so he managed to find the antimatter. Finally, Langdon and Victoria discovered the reasons of the murders, which were about a big secret at the Vatican. The pope had had an affair with a nun and that meeting was born a child. The nun was killed and the pope raised the child making him a camerlengo. So, the camerlengo was the murderer, who had killed the pope and the three cardinals. In addition, he had stolen antimatter to find himself and people admired him as a hero and be chosen as the new pope. But Langdon settled the case and told the conclave. Then, the truth was discovered. The camerlengo felt cornered and decided to bur alive.
