about Ecuador, please ask the questions.... have all the time in the world to answer ... yes you guessed it... I'm here retired already and having a
ball... if you want to learn Spanish... or the other way around want to learn English.... I manage both so, go ahead... I love my city and oh yes.. I'm a native of Ecuador however, lived in the States for 36 years and the best thing I could have ever done was to learn the language... Hope to hear from you who want to learn. Happy learning.... G. | gracewakeNovember 2008 Hello, Chassibout, this is Grace, regarding Ecuador?... the first and foremost thing that brought me back was the climate, no cold weather although people here complain as off now, that it gets cold in the evenings.... how silly it's just comfy nothing else. Guayaquil is a city which has changed within the last 25 to 30 years to become more cosmopolitan, and the "regeneration" has "regenerated" the city almost entirely in the down town area.... I wrote the pertaining words in quotation marks, only because I don't think they should use them to describe what has happen to the city... to regenerate it has to be rotten... the city was not rotten... but old... I would have called it anything but "renegenation" Any way it's a beautiful city that sits at the bank of the Guayas River which in it's widest could be about two miles, it's very commercial and has modern transportation like a metro system. If you have problems reading, please let me know... tambien hablo espnol... Saludos G. Wakefield. |
