Classical German literature with easy vocabulary

Hello!



I've been learning German language one year now and I am wondering if there are any books in German  that a beginner student of this language could painlessly read using a dictionary (sort of an equivalent for "The little prince" in the French language or  "Alice's adventures in wonderland" in English). I would really appreciate any help I could get on the subject.
