"私 - watashi, I (mostly used by females)"

Isn't 私 also used by men in formal situations? Most language tutorials use 私 and I don't think that they're all done for women only. I think I heard 私 often from men in videos...

Hey, just a correction, my command of the language is limited but i noticed two things.

1 - You used "ore wa", apparently it is used colloqiually among boys?  As far as i know girls  use "watashi wa [私 は ] " (ive also read they are beginning to use "boku wa" too)

2 - "Urewa  Juu  Go  years  old" - you'd say  "Watashi wa juugosai desu" (私 は 十 五 歳 で す )... the "sai" denotes age :) As for the individual symbols:

私 - watashi, I (mostly used by females)

は - wa, subject particle

十 - juu - kanji for no.  ten

五 - go - kanji for five

歳 - sai, kanji that acts like an age counter )

I hope this helps!
