My need to learn Russian

My need to learn Russian comes from the fact that my Father was from Poland and my mother from Lvov in the now Ukraine. At home while i was a child and my parents were still alive, polish was spoken and i did not learn any Russian naturally as a child would do.
My Parents met during the second world war and at it's end,stayed in the United Kingdom rather to go back to the communism run countries they lived in before. So that is now i was born here in England.

As i was divorced some years ago i find myself ......wanting  to visit / travel the ex soviet block countries and so wish to learn Russian.
