a question about the verb "будет"

I read somewhere that the Russians use "у вас будет время подумать" to say "you will have time to think it over". But I've learnt that "you will" is equivalent to "вы будете" as in "what will you do?" or "что вы будете делать?". Can anyone explain the reason to use будет and not будете in the first phrase?
