| studentialatiniSeptember 2009 Okay, I am willing to teach you Dutch, and for change you teach me Arabic(I already know some arabic from my junior high scoohl, I forgort some aspects). okay, let me start The dutch language uses the latin alphabet, they are as listed below: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z A is pronunced as 'father', the arabic fatha B is pronunced as 'ball', the arabic ba', except in the end of a word where it is pronunced as 'p' C is pronunced as arabic kaf infront of a, o, u and consonants, while it is like arabic 'sin' infront of i, e, y, j D is pronunced as 'doll', the arabic 'dal', except in the end of a word where it is pronunced as 't' E is pronunced in two ways, one is like red, the other is a schwa sound like 'an' F is like arabic fa' G is exactly like standard arabic ghayn H is like arabic 'ha' I is a kasra sound J is like consonantal arabic yaa' K is always like arabic kaf L always arabic lam M like arabic mim N like arabic nun O is like 'open' P is like 'pet' Q (not sure yet about this maybe later I'll tell you) R trilled like in arabic S always arabic 'sin' T always arabic ta' U like french 'lieu' a dammah sound with the lips pursed forward V is as in 'vet W like V X k+s Y like J Z (not sure wether like english z or german tz)
In the next message i'll teach you some diphtongs and maybe triphtongs and sound mergings. W is a 'v' sound
