Basketball was a very popular sport in ocean university, and many students play it as interest in spare time.

Thought basketball seems as the sport for boys, all colleges had basketball teams of boys and girls.

Even a special association of basketball referee has established by students to cultivate professional referees for varied basketball matches.

A great number of students had fondness to speat spare time on playing basketball and found great fun from it.

No matter in the hot summer days or cold windy days, different scale of competitions were held on basketball fields, and the most competitive one is the Chancellor Cup which was a basketball match between colleges.

During that period, the shops and companies in our campus were willing to be the sponsors of the competition, because they thought basketball was a prevailing sport in ocean university and this basketball match was so popular among students therefore attracting more attention and establishing good reputation in the student customers.

Both girls and boys in Ocean University liked playing basketball, and many different competitions would be hold throughout the year.
