When I was 12, I didn't have much friends and only had this one guy (let's call him Master Strategy since he LOVED playing starcraft,red alert...or games in the same genre).
Needless to say, he's also the only one I could invite to my house to have fun with.
But instead of having fun like normal friends supposed to do, he just took my computer, insisted me watching him playing this "very cool game" he'd just bought then spent 3-4 hours using MY COMPUTER to play those game as if he's lost in it.
During that time, I just went away and did my homeworks, reading some comic books and even finished lunch!
(He said he didn't want to eat because he's "too focus").
TL;DR: Neckbeard childhood friend went to my house,used my PC to play game all by himself then just went home.
And he called that "having fun with friends"
