  • The author raises different acute problems between parents and their children:for example, a problem of misunderstanding, a problem of intrust and also situations where a good reputation is more important than an internal experience of a child.
  • At the beginning of this story the author describes the conversation between Sergant Gailey and a father of a young gay - Mr. Smeeth.
  • Mr Smeeth's son works on people who steal cars.
  • George is called to the police station as a witness.
  • The author describes how Smeeth tries to talk with his son in order of resolve this unpleasant incident.
  • Especially the author draws our attention to that the whole family absolutely doesn't know about the case of George either he didn't want to give his secret to father.
  • Based on this, I can assume that he is a very strict father and husband.
