My dream destination for voluntourism would certainly be in Ecuador in the city of San Cristobal.

This city is located on an island which is the easternmost island of the famous galapagos archipelagos.

The opportunity I am interrested in would be teaching to young children in a primary school on the island.

My main reason to do that is the fact that I really enjoy teaching to others and I think sharing my knowledge of languages is the most helpful way I could make a difference around these communities.

Another reason of my motivation to help is that families in the area of Galapagos Islands are living of tourism so speaking English well over there is essential.

In other words teaching English to children is a way to give them a key that open many doors in their future work researchs.

Voluntourism could also be an incredible occasion for me to discover a new way of seeing life because I would discover a completely different culture and a new way of living.

I think I would be a great candidate because when I am motivated in something I put all my heart in it.

Students know when a teacher really loves what he does and they are just more driven to learn more.

Also, I could be quite flexible in teaching other subjects as Music, Math, Science or French because to do it people need an intermediate level in Spanish and I am rather comfortable with Spanish.

School in Ecuador is obligatory and free until the ninth school year which corresponds to the secondary 3 in Quebec.

The positive things about Ecuador are the cost of life that is really low and the awesome landscapes.

Of course there are risks as natural disasters and high levels of crime.

To conclude, my adventure with Voluntourism would permit me to gain a lot of life experiments and once back in Quebec I would see the life in a different way and I would be more open minded.

It would also benefits children in Ecuador because they will receive free English classes and the will be more able to find work and be independent.
