I make my project in 7 parts : the description of my project, the Dowdewell family, my accomodation, the transport, the previsionnal budget, the preparation and my time management.

First, I will talk you about the description of my project.

I choose to go in Canada this year, in June.

I would like to go to Canada because I have dreaming to discover this country since my childhood.

Indeed I like the numerous contrasts embodied by Canada.

I find this country majestic !

And the advantage is that I am not afraid of the very cold temperatures, on the contrary I love winter landscapes as well !

I would like to go to Canada in order to work as an Au Pair.

I have never been an Au Pair but doing it in Canada is a good way to gain professional experience and to develop personal life experience (become more independent, improve my English …).

I am seeking new experiences in the job market.

I have a lot of experience in baby-sitting and with children in general !

I work in leisure centers since 2 summer !

The Gap Year as Au Pair is a way to discover one part of the country of my dreams, and it’s a way to improve my English.

So, in my second part of my project, i will talk you about my family in Canada.

I did a lot of research to find a family, especially in websites.

I found the profile of the Dowdeswell Family.

They live in the North of Vancouver and sought an Au Pair for their children.

They are 5 in this family (Sarah the mother, Simon the father, Emma and Nathan who are twin, Tom, the baby) In the third part of my project, I talk about the accomodation.

They send me some pictures of the house.

This is very typical of Canada and very charming too.

My fourth part is about transport.

At first my parents accompany me by car to the Charles de Gaulle airport.

Then the plane will take me to Vancouver airport.

Got there I would take a train and my host family will meet me at the station!

My fifth part is about previsionnal budget, I make a table with my spendings during my Gap Year and my revenue before leaving.

With my savings and wages I have enough for my Gap Year.

There can be I would try to find me a job part time if I have time.

My sixth part is about the preparation.

My seventh part is about my time management, during the whole year I will especially keep children, do household chores of the house and be a full member of the family.

If I have time I would take some English classes to improve my language skills.

It will be easier to communicate with my host family.

if my host family agrees I would go see my cousin who lives in the United States in New York.

We could then visit this city together : central park, the Empire state bulding, time square, statue of liberty and all those other things that make the reputation and charm of this city.
