There is no secret that many people expect sports to build their characters.
For instance I know a woman who makes her son do boxing.
He is often teased at school and not capable of protecting himself from being beaten up.
So she hopes he will be taught to hit back.
Will her wish come true?
In my view it will because doing any sport helps people to be more confident and persistent.
I believe that guy will learn to be braver.
I'm sure he will be a man of decision.
Probably it'll be very difficult to to inflict someone's views upon him.
He will be able to venture on bald steps.
He can be respected by his friends and family.
But there is another side of the coin.
Who guarantees he won't get selfish?
One day he can be seen standing in front of a mirror for hours.
What will he think about?
Maybe "How good I am!"or something like that.
In fact sports will make him more stubborn and healthier but also egoistic.
Perhaps he will think everybody must admire him.
So what conclusion may be made?
Sports can teach people not to be shy about anything but it's necessary that one should not overdo sports.
