  • Paris becoming a museum

  • Paris counts a lot of different monuments and buildings, which mark its history through various events (Notre-Dame, Haussmann…).
  • Some people want to modernize Paris even if it destroys old buildings.
  • Others prefer to conserve them, partly for keep the atmosphere of the “old Paris”.
  • I think that we should keep the historical monuments and don’t destroy them because they are a proof of our past.
  • If we shave iconic monuments such as Notre-Dame, the arenas of Lutecia and so on, our children and grandchildren will never see them.
  • They would only have pictures to imagine what and how our ancestors built.
  • On another side, it would not be a bad idea to change some buildings, mainly those which are not very esthetic (concrete blocks for instance…).
  • This would create buildings more focused on bioclimatism, ecology, which are nowadays very important topics.
  • That’s why I am not completely for or against this type of program.
