  • Before leaving Boston, he defended his European-like healthcare act to the hilt, and turned to the Congress’s bravery to safeguard it beyond the party’s rules.
  • He stated this at the Profile Courage Award held in Boston.
  • Referring to those who had voted for the Obama Care, he said: “It is my fervent hope as well as for millions of people that an act of bravery will be possible despite the parties.
  • I hope that the actual members of the Congress focus on the facts and tell the truth, even though it is in conflict with the parties’ rules”.
  • The Chamber of representatives passed the bill with a handful of votes (217 aye on 213 no), but now it has arrived at the senate where the republicans have discordant opinions about it.
