  • Ecology

  • Over the past few decades, the flora and fauna have decreased dramatically, that, unfortunately, could lead to a full devastating of the whole world, we know today.
  • There are a number of considerable dangers with regard to this phenomenon, and various measures can be taken both by the public sector and citizens to improve the situation.
  • This essay will review the negative aspects of wildlife decreasing and will propose some solutions to address the problem.
  • The most critical concern is that a growing society is increasingly demanding necessities such as clean water and nutritious food.
  • As a result, to provide a continuously growing population, mankind has to cultivate more and more lands, destroying forests, marshes and other natural habitats of animals.
  • Besides this, global warming, acid rains, ozone hole and many other artificial ecological issues, continue to cause damage, irreparable to the earth's biosphere.
  • In some countries, for example, plants and factories still emitting greenhouse gases and chemicals banned by international conventions into the atmosphere.
  • In order to reduce the harm caused by human activity to living nature, first of all, it is necessary to adopt and ratify a package of laws that would prohibit the unlimited usage of natural resources, even if it is economically costly.
  • Action will sooner or later lead to the fact that industry and agriculture will find a new non-extensive way of development, invent and promote nature friendly technologies.
  • For example, in Moscow 10 years ago it was forbidden to use river water as a cooler in power plants, which in turn led to the restoration of the fish population.
  • In conclusion, I am convinced that the main reason for reducing the number of biological species is human activity, which must be regulated legally.
  • If mankind does not change his mind and does not cease to be a consumer of our planet, then a cataclysm is inevitable, capable of destroying all life.
  • Although the issue is unlikely to be eliminated in the short term, these are concrete suggestions which can be followed to reduce the negative aspects of human lightheadedness.
