*** 14(th) July 2017 *** A book… In English, please!

Dear diary, I would like to begin this diary telling how I began to read a novel in English.

So, this page show a reel story, which it happened around one week ago, when I went at my best friend’s home (her name is Mathilde).

I told her I wanted to improve my English this summer, because next year I will go at University and also because one of my dreams is to travel in the world.

She said if I wanted she had several books in English she could lend me.

I told I was not sure to arrived reading a book in English but she said “I have books also if you are a beginner, it can be a little difficult but very interesting.” So we took up upstairs to go in her bedroom.

On a white bookshelf there were various books: novels, comics, magazines… Mathilde took several novels and put them on his bed, then she spread them.

“This book is not easy because he talks about knights so the vocabulary is difficult and not current”.

She took him and put it on the floor.

“The others can be good to begin your first novel in English”. I looked them.

There were books which I didn’t understand the title.

But I discovered there was the novel “Harry Potter and the philosopher stone”.

I known the story because I have already seen all the films Harry Potter, in French obviously.

So I decided to take this book.

It should be more easy.

So I began to read this novel and I think it’s good.

I understand what it’s written and sometimes I go on Internet to see vocabulary I don’t undersand.

It’s difficult to express myself about that because I have not many vocabulary and problems to make sentences… But I think to read books and express myself in this diary can help me.

It was a little story which shows the first novel in English I begin.
