So, what I have for her is: a black dress which is shorter in the front and decorated by a magenta and golden floral motive at the high of her hips, and also a pair of matching black heels.
The election of these colours it is not casual: the golden flowers stand for her ambition of money which will lead her to his death, represented by the black fabric and the red flowers.

We want his outfit to make people rapidly understand he is a detective, so in order to achieve this, we are going to appeal to audience’s collective imaginary of what a genuine sleuth must look like.
He works outside, in the dark cold night, so nothing fits him better than a black gabardine and trousers which will not just keep him warm, but also will camouflage him in between night’s shadows.
Under the gabardine, he wears a white t-shirt and a black tie, and a shine pair of black shoes.
This formal style symbolise his seriousness and calculating way of thinking.
Accessories and props such as: a deerstalker, a wood pipe, a loupe and white gloves will relate to classic characters of the detective genre, like Sherlock Homes.
