Momma heard the door slam.
"Gotta wash my hands." Lindsey cried.
"I've got Thomas on them!" "How do you get that?" Momma asked.
"Teacher made me stand by Tina Thomas in chorus.
No one likes her, so if you accidentally touch her - even her clothes - then you've got Thomas." - Lindsay explained.
Soap bubbles floated away as she scrubbed her hands.
"Why don't you and your friends like Tina?" "Oh, cause she doesn't wear clothes like ours-hers don't even fit her good and she doesn't have stuff like we have." - Lindsay answered.
Lindsay said that Tina just laughed and watched Lindsay and her friends played tag.
No one wants to play with Tina so Lindsay didn't play with Tina.
But they didn't make fun of her.
No one said anything for a while.
Finally, Lindsey said, "Probably even if Tina is laughing, her heart is sad about how we treat her, huh?" "Probably." Momma said.
Lindsey said that she will tell Tina "I'm sorry.".
Momma gave Lindsey a big hug as a tear leaked down her cheek.
